2022 Ducati Scrambler 1100 TribiutePRO and Urban Motard unveiled

The Ducati World Premiere 2022 saw the addition of two new models to the Scrambler lineup, which will be launched internationally in November 2021

The Ducati World Premiere 2022 was kicked off by the unveiling of the Multistrada V2 and V2 S in the first episode, and here we are at the second episode in which the 2022 Ducati Scrambler lineup was unveiled. The 1100 TributePRO, as the name suggests, is a tribute to the Ducatis sold back in the 1970s. The Urban Motard, on the other hand, enters the Scrambler 800 lineup. Regardless, both motorcycles are very much modern under the skin.

2022 Ducati Scrambler 1100 TributePRO

The first of two motorcycles unveiled in the second episode of the Ducati World Premiere 2022, the 2022 Ducati Scrambler 1100 TributePRO pays tribute to the fifty years of the air-cooled twin-cylinder engines used in Ducatis since 1971. The 1100 TributePRO uses a yellow-ochre livery inspired by the 750 Sport, along with the Ducati logo used in the 1970s and spoked wheels finished in black. However, look under the skin and you’ll find that the 1100 TributePRO is identical to the 1100 Pro, which means it is powered by a 1079cc air-cooled L-twin engine producing 84bhp at 7500rpm and 88Nm of torque at 4750rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox.

It is underpinned by a steel trellis frame, while suspension duties are taken care of by 45mm USD Marzocchi fully-adjustable forks at the front, and a Kayaba-sourced pre-load and rebound adjustable monoshock at the rear. You get Brembo M4.32 Monobloc four-piston calipers mounted on 320mm semi-floating twin discs at the front, whereas the rear gets a single-piston mounted on a 245mm disc.

In terms of kit, the 1100 TributePRO receives three riding modes, ride-by-wire, cornering ABS, and Ducati Traction Control among others.

2022 Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard

The Urban Motard is the smaller of the two motorcycles unveiled here, and joins the Scrambler 800 lineup. The Urban Motard receives a new livery combining two colours — Star White Milk and Ducati GP’19 Red. The headlight with the ‘four half moons’ setup has been carried over from the Scrambler Icon.

Similar to the 1100 TributePRO which shares its mechanicals with the 1100 Pro, the Urban Motard shares its mechanicals with the Scrambler Icon. Powered by an 803cc air-cooled L-twin engine producing 71.8bhp at 8250rpm and 66.2Nm of torque at 5750rpm, the Urban Motard also gets a six-speed gearbox. However, while the rest of the Scrambler 800 lineup receives an 18-inch wheel at the front and a 17-incher at the rear, the Urban Motard makes do with 17-inch spoked wheels on both ends.

The Urban Motard also shares most of its equipment with the rest of the Scrambler 800 lineup, which means there’s cornering ABS, the Ducati Multimedia system (optional) which enables smartphone connectivity via bluetooth, along with a gear shift indicator, side-stand indicator, handlebar switch controls, and hydraulic clutch control with an adjustable lever.

It is important to note that the rest of the Scrambler 1100 lineup (1100 Pro, 1100 Dark Pro, and 1100 Sport Pro), and the Scrambler 800 lineup (Icon, Icon Dark, Nightshift, Full Throttle, Cafe Racer, and Desert Sled) remain the same.

Both motorcycles are set for an international launch in November 2021. Ducati hasn’t said anything specific regarding an India launch but it cannot be ruled out. Meanwhile, you can look forward to the third episode of the 2022 Ducati World Premiere — Rule All Mountains, which will be streamed live at 7:30pm (IST) on October 28.
