Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team announces 2020 Dakar Lineup     

Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team is all geared up for the 42nd edition of the Dakar rally which will be held in Saudi Arabia from 5th to 17th January 2020 with one rest day on 11th January at Riyadh. Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team has also announced their four riders at MotoSoul 2019 held in Goa. The squad includes Michael Metge (France), Lorenzo Santolino (Spain), Johnny Aubert (France) and Harith Noah (India) who will be making his debut in the 42nd edition of the Dakar Rally.

Among the riders, lead rider Michael Metge will be participating in the Dakar for the seventh time, while Lorenzo Santolino will be making his second appearance in the gruelling rally. The rally will commence from Jeddah, the second-largest city in the country that is located on the west coast before concluding at Al Qiddiya via Riyadh in 12 stages and over 9000km of running.

In its 42nd edition, the 2020 Dakar Rally will be characterised by the sand dunes, given the nature of the Saudi terrain – like last year’s Dakar that took place in Peru where participants tackled the Rub' al Khali desert. Although this year, the opening stages of the Dakar will feature some WRC-style tracks and mountainous terrain.
