The oldest bike manufacturer in the world sold 66,968 units in Dec,2017 as compared to 57,398 units in Dec,2016, a growth of 16 percent. Year-on-year sales also climbed 21 percent from 4,88,262 units last year to 5,93,450 units this year. Internationally the Indian marquee has been making its impact felt as well with sales ballooning from 10,574 units last year to 13,988 units this year.
However, it has to be noted that Royal Enfield sold over 70,000 units in the month of November 2017, and the drop in sales in December 2017 comes across as uncharacteristic given the brand’s recent sales record.
