Royal Enfield makes entry into the pre-owned motorcycle segment
For all those who would like to own a vintage or pre-owned Royal Enfield motorcycle, the brand has opened its first ever ‘Vintage Store’ in Chennai. It deals with restored, refurbished and also pre-owned Royal Enfield badged motorcycles. Touted as a segment first initiative by a two wheeler manufacturer, customers will now have the option to buy previously-owned Royal Enfields with transparent pricing and all motorcycles going through a 92-parameter quality checklist.
The concept of ‘Vintage’ also gives an opportunity for collectors of vintage Enfield motorcycles that will be restored to their original glory. The ‘Vintage Store’ aims to make the purchase of pre-owned and spruced-up Enfields hassle free, including after sales service, financing, insurance, warranty (definitive period not mentioned currently) and other documentation works.
At the ‘Vintage Store’ launch, Shaji Koshy, Royal Enfield, said, “At Royal Enfield, we are constantly working towards offering new experiences and formats for our customers. With Vintage, we have created a place where epic motorcycling journeys, experiences, and stories will never end and will be passed on from one owner to another. We have observed healthy demand for refurbished and pre-owned Royal Enfield motorcycles, and believe that this business will continue to grow.”
Royal Enfield is planning to open 10 stores in the first year. The vintage store in Chennai is located at No. 27, Mylai Balaji Nagar, Velachery main road, Pallikaranai.
