Italian superbike manufacturer, MV Agusta has announced the launch of the F4 RC superbike. The F4 RC is limited to just 250 units worldwide and just one bike is coming to the Indian shores (you read right, just one bike!!).
This hand assembled superbike is a replica of the bikes that MV Agusta races in the World Superbike competition and is powered by a 998cc 4-cylinder engine which makes 205bhp and 115Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike also allows riders to add an additional race kit which includes a Termignoni exhaust system which ups the power figures of the bike from 205bhp to 212bhp. MV Agusta has also fitted the F4 RC with a whole array of electronic aids and features including an ECU which manages the throttle response, maximum torque and engine response for optimized performance. The F4 RC also comes with an 8 stage traction control system and an electronically assisted quickshifter which allows for clutch-less gear changes. To bring the bike to a hault, the brakes are a pair of 4-caliper 320 mm front discs at the front and 210 mm disc at the rear.
MV Agusta has also reduced the weight of the bike drastically from the F4 RR. The F4 RC weighs just 175kg and can be made lighter by adding a titanium exhaust reducing the weight of the bike further down by 6kg.
The MV Agusta F4 RC is priced at Rs. 51.91 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The MV Agusta F4 RC competes against the likes of the Yamaha R1, the Kawasaki H2, BMW S1000RR and the Kawasaki ZX-10R.
