Lohia Auto Industries showcased the country’s first Humrahi solar powered e-rickshaw along with an electric scooter, Narain Hydraulic Tipper e-rickshaw and Narain LC Loader at the 2017 Smart City Expo held at Pragati Maidan.
These electric and solar powered vehicles have designed for overall safety, efficiency and reliability. Compared to a battery powered rickshaw which uses conventional form of electricity to charge the battery, the solar powered e-rickshaw on the other hand can charge on the run (make sure it is a sunny day). According to the company, the solar powered rickshaws increase efficiency by 10 to 15 per cent and have a life cycle of 10 years.
The second product showcased at the Smart City Expo is Narain’s Hydraulic Tipper E- Rickshaw. The electric dumper comes with a payload capacity of 350kg and features a hydraulic system to unload materials. This utility electric vehicle is designed to be used either as a delivery van or for garbage collection.
Apart from these two, Lohia Auto also showcased Narain LC a vehicle used for delivery with low maintenance and high loading capacity and the e-scooter which is powered by a lithium ion battery. The e-scooter can reach a full charge in a time of three hours and has a life of more than 1000 charging cycles.
