Intermot 2018: Updated Ducati Scramblers break cover

At the ongoing Intermot 2018 in Germany,  Ducati pulled the wraps off three updated models for the 2019 Scrambler range – Full Throttle, Desert Sled and Cafe Racer. All the three bikes get new headlights, auto cancelling indicators, LED DRLs , ergonomic switchgears for a better interface with the LCD screen and cornering ABS from Bosch.  The bikes are also equipped with connectivity options. Ducati has given traction control a miss, for reasons unknown.

The Full Throttle gets a dual tone black and yellow paint job and is inspired by the Flat Track Racing bikes. The bike is equipped with a Termignoni racing exhaust system homologated for road use, a redesigned rear end and a low-slung cross-section handlebar. It also gets dual exhaust pipes.

The Cafe Racer takes inspiration from the Ducati 125GP Desmo. The number 54 flanking the sides is a tribute to former Italian GP racer Bruno Spiaggiari, who competed in the 125cc category world championship. The blue seats, blue frame and the dual tone blue/white paint job looks uber cool. The mirrors are placed on the handle bar ends.

The Desert Sled is inspired from American off-roaders from the 60’s. It gets a protective mesh for the headlight and skid plates to protect the engine in case of a fall. It is also equipped with adjustable Kayaba suspension. To experience maximum Thrill of Driving, the ABS can be switched off in the off-road mode to kick some dirt.

All three bikes are powered by the 803cc, L-Twin engine that puts out 72bhp and 67Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
