Ducati India tease the Multistrada 1260 Enduro launch

The Multistrada 1260 Enduro will make its way to Indian shores on July 9 as teased on Ducati India’s social handles

The Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro will be launched in India next month, on July 9 as confirmed by Ducati India on their social media. The bike is the successor to the 1200 Enduro and is based on the Multistrada 1260’ engine.

Powering the 1260 Enduro is the same Testastretta 1262cc L-twin, four-valve, dual spark, liquid cooled engine with Desmodromic variable timing. This behemoth of a motor puts down 156bhp of power at 9500rpm and 128Nm of torque at 7500rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with Ducati Quick Shift which enables the rider to shift through the gearbox without the clutch. Suspension duties on the Enduro are carried out by a 48mm fully adjustable USD (upside down) forks with electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment with Evo Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) upfront and at the rear, there is a fully adjustable monoshock with electronic compression, rebound damping and spring preload adjustment with DSS.

Braking duties are handled by two 320mm rotors clamped by Brembo M4.32 monobloc callipers up front and a 265mm single disc clamped by a two-pot floating Brembo calliper. The front and rear are still running the same 19-inch and 17-inch wheel setup respectively. The stock seat height is at 860mm and there are accessories which allow the height to be reduced or increased based on rider preference. The Enduro weighs in at 254kg (kerb). The Enduro is also equipped with a host of electronics and rider aids including cornering ABS, traction control, etc.

Ducati has revised ergonomics of the bike by lowering the seat, handlebar and centre of gravity along with updated the suspensions to improve ride and handling.

The Enduro 1200 is priced at Rs 18.03 lakh ex-showroom so we estimate that the bike will be priced anywhere between 18.5-19 lakh ex-showroom.
