Dual tone Bajaj Dominar 250 launched

Bajaj India launched the Dominar 250 with three new dual-tone colour options. The three new colour schemes will be available along with the two existing colour schemes giving buyers a total of five options to choose from The new dual tone Bajaj Dominar 250 doesn’t come at a premium over the standard colours meaning it will sport the same Rs 1.54 lakh ex-showroom price tag.

Design

There is no change in the design of Bajaj Dominar 250, just the addition of three new dual-tone colour schemes. The three new colour schemes are called — Racing Red with Matt Silver, Citrus Rush with Matt Silver, and Sparkling Black with Matt Silver. Below are the images of the new colours for you.

Engine and chassis

The Dominar 250 continues to use the same liquid-cooled 248.8cc, DOHC FI engine which churns out 26.6bhp at 8500rpm and 23.5Nm of torque at 6500rpm and is matted to a six-speed gearbox which enables the Dominar 250 to sprint from standstill to 100kmph in 10.5 seconds. The Dominar 250 uses a beam type perimeter frame and is suspended on 37mm upside-down forks and pre-load adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 300mm disc with a radially mounted ByBre caliper upfront and a single-piston caliper mounted on a 230mm disc at the rear.

Features

In terms of features the Dominar 250 dual-tone edition continues to get all LED lighting with AHO (auto headlamp on), negatively-lit LCD speedometer and a secondary display that houses the engine temperature, ABS, battery, side stand and battery light. In terms of rider-aids, the bike is equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard. Adding to the Dominar 250’s touring ability, the bike also comes with four bungee straps tucked under the seat that can be used to secure your luggage.

The Dominar 250 is rivalled by the likes of the more affordable Yamaha FZ25, the Suzuki Gixxer 250 SF and its more expensive Swedish and Austrian cousins, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and the KTM 250 Duke.
