Bangalore-based startup, named Emflux Motors is working on this svelte looking motorcycle, which is expected to launch in 2018. The fully-faired bike will be powered by an electric motor, with a range of 200km (estimated).

The details about the motor have not surfaced yet, but Emflux claims that the bike will be able to clock 100kmph in just 3.5 seconds and go all the way to 170kmph. The unnamed bike will also get a fast charging battery allowing for a charge of up to 80 per cent in 36 minutes, flat.

The bike will be completely made in India, including all the  major components such as its electric motor, motor controller, battery pack, BMS, charger circuit, chassis, transmission and even the body panels.

Emflux was founded by Varun Mittal in 2016, an IIT-Delhi alumnus who won the Robocon India 2007 and went to be a founding member of Jugnoo and Jumia. He was joined by his colleagues at Jugnoo, Ankit Khatry and Gulshan Sharma to setup Emflux. The core team also includes Vinay Raj Somashekhar who is a national level design competition winner (SIAM 2014) and has already worked with TVS Motor Co. The startup has already raised an undisclosed amount of funding in its seed round in September 2016. Emflux is looking to close the next round of funding soon to bring out the bike to us by next year.
