Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon launched at Rs 64,000

Bajaj has launched the Pulsar 125 Neon in India—the smallest bike to carry the ‘Pulsar’ tag. The bike is available in two variants - drum and disc which are priced at Rs 64,000 and Rs 66,618 (both ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. The bike takes on the likes of Honda CB Shine and the Hero Glamour FI.

All about the Pulsar 125 Neon

Powering the bike is an air-cooled, single-cylinder 124.4cc motor developing 11.8bhp at 8500rpm and 11Nm at 6500rpm which is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are carried by traditional telescopic forks at the front and twin gas-charged shocks at the rear.

Aesthetically, the bike looks similar to the Pulsar 150 Neon and even the dimensions are the same as the 150cc sibling. The bike weighs 4kg less than the 150cc bike, thanks to the smaller engine. Other features include clip-on handlebars, which are first in the segment. The Pulsar 125 Neon is available in three colours - Neon Blue (on Matte Black body), Solar Red and Platinum Silver.

With the BS-VI norms kicking in, the price of the Pulsar 150 Neon is likely to go up by five to ten percent. The 125 then makes for a great entry-level Pulsar for the masses.
