Bajaj Platina 100 Kick Start launched at Rs 51,667

Bajaj Auto has launched the all new Platina 100 Kick Start (KS) at an aggressive ex-showroom price of Rs 51,667. The Platina 100 Kick Start can be had in two color choices, namely ‘Cocktail wine red’ and ‘Ebony black with silver decals’.

In terms of equipment, the Platina is quite similarly specced to the standard Platina 100 ES Disc variant. The differences between the two are that the all new Platina 100 Kick Start gets tubeless tires, a front drum brake and, as the name suggests, only a kick starter. Other features include an LED DRL-integrated headlamp, quilted seat, hand guards and wide rubber footpads.

The BS6 compliant engine that powers the Platina 100 Kick Start is a 102cc single cylinder, SOHC, air cooled unit that churns 7.8bhp of power at 7500rpm and 8.34Nm of torque at 5500rpm. The engine is mated to a four-speed transmission. Fuel capacity is 11 litres. Suspension duties are carried out by telescopic forks upfront and dual shock setup at the rear. The bike gets drum brakes at both ends with the front drum being 130mm in size and the rear drum being 110mm equipped with CBS.
