MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 and Brutale 1000 Serie Oro are India bound!

After announcing seven brand tie-ups and five brand launches last year, Motoroyale has at least four product launches lined up for 2019, two of them being the Turismo Veloce and the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro. The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 is targeted at sport touring enthusiasts and if you like naked streetfighters, nothing comes close to the outlandish, aggressive, even mental Brutale 1000 Serie Oro. The Serie Oro will be sold in limited numbers, 300 to be precise and India is expected to get seven on these beauties, so start saving up right now!

MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro

If looks could kill, the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro, the fastest, most powerful street naked ever built, could just shoot you dead! (It even won the title of the ‘most beautiful motorcycle of the show’ at EICMA 2018!)

Powering the Serie Oro is the most powerful naturally aspirated engine on a street naked – the 998cc 4-cylinder engine produces 205bhp at 13,500rpm and 115.5Nm at 9,300rpm. If you are power hungry soul and still feel that 205bhp is not enough power, MV Agusta will spec your Serie Oro with a racing kit (a dedicated ECU and SC-Project titanium exhaust) to up the power by 4bhp, taking the total to 209bhp at an eye-watering 13,600rpm! MV Agusta says that the Serie Oro is closely associated with the WSBK spec F4 RC Superbike.

The bike is built around a gorgeous steel trellis frame and carbon fibre elements are used generously to bring the weight down. To make sure you don’t shoot off to the sky at speeds above 200kmph, MV Agusta has fitted the bike with canard wings at the front to keep the beast pinned to the tarmac. There are also the electronically adjustable Öhlins forks at the front and Öhlins TTX36 shock absorber at the rear.

Internationally, the Turismo Veloce is available in three variants apart from the base model– the 800 Lusso, the 800 Lusso SCS and the RC; the company has not revealed which of these might be headed to our shores. Based on the F3 800, the Turismo Veloce 800 is powered by the same engine that is seen on the India-spec Brutale 800. The three cylinder 798cc engine develops 110bhp and 80Nm. The engine is matched to a six-speed gearbox with a quickshifter. Suspension duties are managed by 43mm USD forks from Marzocchi with 160mm travel and a monoshock with a single sided swingarm made of aluminium alloy and a wheel travel of 165mm.

The 800 Lusso SCS breaches the 100kmph barrier in just 3.15 seconds with a top speed of 230kmph. If you are wondering what SCS stands for, it is Smooth Clutch System. With the SCS, you don’t need to engage the clutch lever for stopping, starting or maneuvering at slow speeds. The Turismo Veloce will rival the Ducati Multistrada 950, Triumph Tiger XR and Honda Africa Twin, all of which are priced at Rs 12.84 lakh, Rs 11.99 lakh, Rs 13.23 lakh and Rs 11.95 lakh respectively. Motoroyale is planning an aggressive expansion spree throughout the country. Motoroyale currently has only five dealerships in India located in Thane, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi and Bengaluru, with no dealership in Pune yet, which is Motoroyale’s HQ. The company has plans to even run its own dealership in Pune, an important decision in terms of operations.
