Honda has introduced a refreshed model of the Activa 125, containing more features at a non-drastic price change from the older model. Incorporating newer parts, such as a LED head and position lamps; four-in-one ignition; a redesigned console, which now includes a digital interactive panel (with eco-mode, service-due indicator) in addition to the analog speedometer; and a smart switch to open or lock the seat.
It utilizes a 8.52.bhp/10.54Nm 124.9cc engine, the same as the original. The scooter continues the tradition of having a full metal body (with a chrome panelled chest), as opposed to the similar Honda Grazia, which makes use of fibre panels. Also included is the 3-step adjustable monoshock suspension unit in the rear; a standard Combined Braking System (CBS) and telescopic suspension, hooked up to the 12-inch front wheel. Also available are two newer matte versions, “Matte crust metallic” and “Matte Silver Selene Metallic”, as well as the original 4 colours. A charging socket, among others, is available as an optional accessory.
On the launch of the 2018 Honda Activa 125, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, senior vice-president, sales and marketing, HMSI, said, “Honda is the driving force in India’s scooterization and has now extended its LED promise to the Activa 125. Upping the premium style with additional features, the 2018 Activa 125 with trust of over a million customers, will further strengthen Honda’s leadership in automatic scooters.”
