Zero Motorcycles has unveiled its latest electric motorcycle, the SR/F. This new bike from the Californian company boasts ‘industry-leading power, control and connectivity’. This is the first bike from the company with a largely conventional, streetfighter looks.  Unfortunately, this motorcycle is not going to make its way to India but we have the likes of Ather 450, the Okinawa I-Praise and concepts like the Emflux and Hero electric.

The Zero SR/F’s powerhouse

The SR/F features the company’s new ZF75-10 motor and ZF14.4 lithium-ion battery which gives the bike a 200kmph top speed and 189.81Nm of peak twist. The battery charges to 95 per cent in an hour and offers up to 320 km range depending on the battery pack and is Zero’s fastest charging battery pack. Additionally, the Zero SR/F is built on a steel-trellis frame and has a concentric swingarm with Bosch’s braking system in conjunction with the JJuan calipers at both ends.

The revolutionary operating system on the Zero SR/F

The Zero SR/F packs a highly customizable Cypher III operating system. The OS connects with the mobile app to display bike status and alerts, charging data, ride data sharing, system updates. This also includes the bike’s location, speed, lean angle, power, torque, energy used or regenerated. Finally, there’s also an option to ‘replay’ each ride and share, if they choose to.

The Zero SR/F’s electronics package

Zero Motorcycles is offering a complete electronics package for the first time, like Bosch’s trusty Motorcycle stability control. Also, the motorcycle gets ABS with cornering brake control, traction control and the drag torque control. Lastly, Zero is offering the SR/F with Street, Sport, Rain and Eco modes along with up to 10 customisable modes.
