The Flow will also benefit from the technology, as the new battery will be lightweight, waterproof and can be fully charged with the fast charging system in less than an hour, claims the company. The scooter will also have a fixed reserve battery, which will be constantly charged by the main battery. So even when the main battery is removed for charging, the scooter can go a distance of up to 20km with the help of reserve battery.

Parveen Kharb, CEO and co-Founder, Twenty Two Motors said, “Twenty-Two Motors was founded with the sole aim to change the commutation landscape in India by providing powerful smart vehicles to generation next. Together we aim to change the landscape of urban mobility in India. While Ionex enables consumers to go electric without compromise, businesses and governments need to have reliable solutions for charging stations, removable batteries and related IT support systems before they opt for EVs. And therefore, Ionex Commercial is here to provide a total package to empower and enable all businesses and governments to adopt premium electric mobility. ”

The Flow was first showcased at the Auto Expo earlier this year and Twenty Two Motors launched it at a price of Rs 74,740. Pre bookings of the scooter were also opened on the same day. The company has a manufacturing facility in Rajasthan with a production capacity of 2 lakh units a year. The company plans to open its outlets in Gurgaon, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Pune and Bangalore and further expand to other cities later.

Recently, Okinawa Autotech Private Ltd also launched the Ridge+ e-scooter with li-ion battery pack and new colour schemes. The scooter now has a claimed range of up to 120km on a single charge over the lead-acid battery variant which has a range of 80-90km.
