TVS launches new Apache RTR 200 4V

TVS Motor Company has launched the new generation of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. Key changes are the addition of slipper clutch, new graphics and fly screen which aims at reducing air drag on rider. The RTR 200 is the first motorcycle in its class to be equipped with a slipper clutch. TVS claims that the addition of slipper clutch has reduced the required clutch force by 22 percent.

The RTR 200 continues to use the same 197.75cc engine that develops 20.2bhp (Carb)/ 20.7bhp (EFI) at 8500rpm and a peak torque of 18.1Nm at 7000rpm mated to the 5-speed transmission. The bike is available at Rs 95,185, Rs 1,07,885 and Rs 1,08,985 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the carburetor, fuel-injected and carburetor with ABS variants respectively. The fuel-injected and carburetor with ABS variants are available in selected cities only right now though.
