Triumph teases new Speed Triple

Team Fast Bikes

Triumph has teased the new Speed Triple in two videos featuring two-time Isle of Man winner Gary Johnson and four-time World Superbike Champion Carl Fogarty. Among the big changes to the new Speed Triple are an updated engine like the one seen on the Street Triple. Although, likely to retain the same displacement of 1050cc, the engine should see heavy refreshes internally and power is likely to get a small boost too.

Looks wise, the Speed Triple is likely to retain the same design from its predecessor. There will be two versions of the Speed Triple, the R and the RS. The RS’ suspensions too are apparently changed to accommodate Ohlins setups both front and rear. The suspension would be fully adjustable. The exhaust cans will be Arrow ones with carbon heat shields like the ones currently seen on the new Tiger 1200. However, the Speed Triple R undergoes smaller changes including new exhausts, LED lights throughout and new five-spoke wheels. Both the bikes will get the new colour TFT from the Street Triple. Stay tuned for further details.
