Triumph Bonneville Bobber launched!

Not for nothing is Triumph’s range of modern classics the company’s best-selling motorcycles. They are great motorcycles that offer best of both worlds. On the one hand there is the offer of unbridled nostalgia that is the USP of such bikes while on the other there is the peace of mind and performance of thoroughly modern machinery. And adding to that range from today onwards is the gorgeous Bonneville Bobber at Rs 9.09 lakh, ex-showrooom, Delhi.

We rode the bike around Madrid a few months ago (click here for review) and were thoroughly impressed with how capable it was and how mouthwatering it looked in the flesh. That low slung body, that delicious solo seat in a crafted aluminium pan and the flat short handlebar complete the classic Bobber look. Although the frame is shared with the other motorcycles in the modern classic line up, the swingarm and other bits and bobs on the bike are developed ground up. Power comes from Triumph’s tried and tested liquid-cooled 1200cc parallel twin but has been tweaked to let the rider access the peak power at lower engine revs.

The new Triumph Bonneville Bobber is available in four colour options, namely Ironstone with a matte finish, Morello Red, Competition Green and Frozen Silver and Jet Black.

“Our ambition was to deliver a genuine bobber – without compromise to the ride, comfort or rider control, to have it ride just like a Triumph should. The Triumph Bobber delivers a truly class defining riding dynamic, further strengthening our repertoire in India,” said Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India.
