Norton reveals the limited edition Breitling Sport

Norton, along with Swiss watchmaker, Breitling have announced the first product from their venture. The limited edition Breitling Sport will be limited to 77 examples. The price is yet to be revealed but expect it to carry a premium over the standard variant. The Norton Commando MKII limited edition we rode a few months back was priced at almost Rs 21 lakh (ex-showroom) so we expect this bike to priced similarly if it makes it to our shores.

So what is new in the Breitling Sport?

A different seat, and a new paint job. That’s it. The Breitling sport will sport the same 961cc air-cooled parallel-twin motor. The engine churns out 70 horses and 67Nm of peak twist. The bike gets Brembo’s top-of-the-line monobloc callipers as well.

Norton boss Stuart Garner said of the partnership: “I’ve always said that the key to a company’s success is to let the brand be the brand. This has been essential both at Norton Motorcycles and Breitling. We haven’t tried to change the nature of our brands or deny their histories. In fact, we revel in those histories and take inspiration from them while focusing on the future.”

The companies have teamed up to create both, motorcycles and watches. So expect a watch to match Norton’s charisma soon.
