Hero MotoCorp unveils three motorcycles

Hero MotoCorp today unveiled three new motorcycles; Passion Pro, Passion XPro and Super Splendor. All three get BS-IV compliant engines with Torque on Demand feature along with minor bump up in power and i3S, which basically idle stop-start system. The motorcycles will be launched phase wise starting from January 2018.

New Passion Pro

The new Passion Pro motorcycle comes with a 110cc engine that puts out 9.4bhp and 9Nm. Along with minor cosmetic updates over the previous iteration, it gets auto headlamp on feature. It is available in 5 different color options. Hero MotoCorp claims that the new bike is more powerful by 12 per cent compared to its predecessors. The motorcycle is available in drum and disc brake set ups. Hero MotoCorp claims the motorcycle does the 0-60kmph sprint in 7.45 seconds.

New Passion XPRO

The Passion XPro gets a funkier design styling compared to the Passion Pro and it shares its the same BS-IV engine. It gets additional features like LED tail lamp, rear cowl, dual tone mirrors, the start-stop and AHO feature. The Passion XPRO also comes with five dual color schemes. The Xpro  does the 0-60kmph in a claimed 7.45 seconds.

New Super Splendor

The super Splendor gets the 125cc engine that makes 11.26bhp of power and 11Nm of torque. It gets the AHO feature along with new graphics, updated seat profile, silver finish side cover, more under seat storage space and chrome finished muffler. Hero MotoCorp claims that the new Super Splendor makes 27 per cent more power and 6 per cent more torque than the outgoing model. Top speed of the motorcycle is a claimed 94kmph.

“Over the recent past, we have strengthened our product development capabilities at the Hero Centre of Innovation and Technology. We are gearing up to launch multiple new exciting products across the segments in the coming months”, said Dr. Markus Braunsperger, chief technology officer at Hero MotoCorp, during the event.
