Auto Expo 2018: Hero Electric showcases eight new two-wheelers

Hero Electric, one of the leading electric scooter manufacturers in the country, has unveiled eight new electric two-wheelers. To mark 10 years of manufacturing in the electric two wheelers segment, the company also launched the ’10 Years Ahead’ campaign. Hero Electric came up with 15 electric two wheelers in the country in the past decade and currently owns 65% share of the country’s electric two wheeler market.

The AXLHE-20 scooter showcased is powered by a 4,000 watt motor that produces peak power of 6,000 watts. It can reach a top speed of 85kmph, provides 110km range on full charge and features regenerative braking. Second on the list, the HE-19 gets a 2500 Watt motor that delivers peak power of 4500 watts, can reach up to 75kmph and offers a range of 60km in one full charge. It also gets disc brakes on both wheels.

The HE-18 e-bike comes with a 1500 watt motor which makes peak power of 2000 watts powered by a 60 volt lithium ion battery. The e-bike can clock a top speed of 55kmph and gets 70km range on one full charge. The scooter gets automatic LED headlights and a USB port with power indicator. It also gets cruise control, smart connectivity and front and rear disc brakes. The HE-17 gets a 2000 watt motor that is powered by a 60 volt lithium ion battery. It offers 70km of range on one full charge and gets cruise control, three speed selection modes and a USB port on its handlebar.

A2B is UK-based electric bicycle-making subsidiary company of Hero Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd. The A2B Blake bicycle showcased is gets a 350 watt motor powered by a 48 volt battery and has a top speed of 32kmph. It offers a range of 80km on one full charge. The bicycle is nestled on an aluminium frame and weighs just 18kg. The A2B Kroemer MTB is propelled by a 250 watt motor, gets a 36 volt battery which provides it with 70km range on one full charge, weighs 23kg and offers a top speed of 25kmph.

The A2B Speed e-bicycle is powered by a 500 watt motor, gets a 36 volt battery that provides it with a range of 70km and a top speed of 45kmph. Nestled on an aluminium frame, it gets Shimano XT rear derailleur transmission and comes with Tektro Dorado hydraulic disc brakes. The A2B Kuo Boost bicycle is powered by a 350 watt motor, manages a top whack of 32kmph and goes 60km on single charge. It is nestled on an aluminium frame and weighs 20kg. The bicycle can be folded and has eight-speed Shimano Derailleur gearbox.
