Honda CB 1000R Plus to be launched next month

All-new Honda CB 1000R Plus India-bound!

Honda is all set to launch their ‘neo sports’ cafe racer, the CB 1000R Plus in India next month. The all-new retro-modern cafe racer was launched internationally last year. The new CB 1000R is built on an all-new chassis frame, is powered by a punchier 998cc motor and gets some essential features.

The 998cc inline 4-cylinder motor has been upgraded with forged pistons and sits on an all-new steel mono backbone chassis with a single sided swingarm. The motor produces 143bhp  at 10,500rpm and 104Nm of torque at 8,250rpm and the bike gets ride-by-wire throttle. The motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.

The new CB 1000R Plus now comes with three riding modes, Standard, Rain and Sport along with a customizable ‘User’ mode. It is equipped with Showa upside-down forks at the front and Showa balance free rear cushion at the rear. Braking duties are carried out by 310mm dual discs at the front and a 256mm disc at the rear aided by dual channel ABS. The feature list does not stop there. The new CB 1000R is equipped with Honda Selectable Torque Control along with full LED headlights, LED taillights and an LCD instrument panel. Additionally it get heated grips, aluminium front fender panels, aluminium rear hugger panels, flyscreen with aluminium inserts, single seat cowl with aluminium inserts, radiator grille with CB1000R logo, and a quickshifter.

The Honda CB 1000R Plus is expected to be launched next month as a replacement for the CBR 1000R. It is expected to be priced between Rs 13 lakh to 14 lakh approximately.
